Announcing Litmos C3 Keynote: Patty McCord

patty mccord speaker litmos c3 conference

We are very excited to announce that Patty McCord will be the keynote speaker in the Litmos track at C3 2017, September 18-20! This annual event held at the luxurious Wynn Resort in Las Vegas is the premiere learning event of its kind and brings together over 500 learning attendees with many different engaging sessions and networking opportunities. To up the excitement even more, we’ve added to the lineup the experienced TED speaker and the woman who shook up Silicon Valley as former Chief Talent Officer at Netflix.

Ms. McCord is quite possibly the best-known HR professional on the planet, recognized for revolutionizing the way people work. Now as an independent consultant, she brings to clients the Silicon Valley concepts of fresh ideas and innovation, and applies them to rethinking the way we work. She has been featured in interviews and articles from Harvard Business Review, NPR, Fast Company and The Wall Street Journal.

As Fast Company describes her:

“During her 14 years at Netflix, Patty McCord kept a head-down approach, isolating herself within Netflix’s walls, to eventually come up with the brilliant 124-page document called “Netflix Culture: Freedom & Responsibility.” So far, it’s been shared over 13 million times on Slideshare and has been called ‘the most important document ever to come out of the Valley’ by Sheryl Sandberg.”

She changed the way progressive companies work, eliminating old concepts like annual performance reviews and requested time off. These forward-thinking ideas continue to ripple through not only tech companies, but companies across industries and world wide. She showed that the old rules of HR may in fact have held people back, rather than helping them drive forward. Pure innovation, creativity, and team work seem to work more fluidly outside the rigid constructs of corporate policy and procedure.

In her own words: “No pain, no gain. No risk, no reward. Everything I’ve ever done was embracing the idea of risk. When I coach startups now, I say, to me the ideal next culture that one of you is going to create is one where people is like, ‘oh we’re changing everything? Cool! That will be so fun! You mean we’re starting over? How great will that be?’ And then people will look to embrace change instead of hanging on to what happened before.”

REGISTER for C3 now for this rare opportunity to see Patty McCord live.

See you in September!
