Browser updates are always a challenge for most any web-based content. With Microsoft’s release of Internet Explorer 9, a particularly disturbing issue has arisen for many Learning Management Systems and Flash-based eLearning content. Tools such as Articulate Presenter rely on Adobe’s Flash Player. The method by which IE9 works with ‘iFrames’ has changed significantly enough that the Flash player has some issues, one apparently related to its communication with javascript functions. Last week, Adobe announced their new approach to Creative Suite 6 software licensing, the Creative Cloud , which should be available in early June. This subscription-based ‘digital hub’ will provided the ability to download and install any application in Adobe’s CS6 “ Master Collection ” and use it offline…as long as you remain subscribed. The pricing does not seem unreasonable, but that may be a point of perspective and there are several options.
