Mission-based levels serve several purposes within the design of a game. One purpose is to keep the game space manageable. Early level.simple and easy.but wait, it gets harder. Developing a game in which a player wanders through one vast level accomplishing hundreds of objectives and interacting with dozens of non-player characters is a daunting programming task and is intimidating for the player.

Therefore, the quandary for game developers is to create a game that is neither too hard nor too easy. Rules and Instructional Games

At its simplest form, a game is just a set of defined rules. There are rules indicating the maximum number of players who can play a game, rules describing how to score points, rules indicating what is allowed in the game and, in the case of digital games, rules that apply to writing the code that makes the video game character jump. Without rules, games would not exist.
