Quiz Design: Recognizing Types of Learning

The Logical Blog by IconLogic

by Jennie Ruby  Many of us start writing a quiz when we are sitting in front of our quiz-making software, and the software asks us whether we want a multiple-choice question or a true/false. We then go on instinct to make up a question that we feel relates to the topic just covered in the training. But this method, although it will arrive at a functional quiz that our learner can click through, may not be accurately doing what a quiz should do.

It’s a subtle yet powerful distinction that occurred to me as I absorbed the core reading for Week 1 of The University of Edinburgh’s E-learning and Digital Cultures

A great deal to see in a day, and I was impressed by the turn out of resources particularly for robotics and science, very impressive, very encouraging. For my own part working as I do with the Moodle, it was a little disappointing to see only one stand promoting the vle, though there were other vle systems on offer, so competition is good righ

NuggetHead

Posted in SKETCHNOTES Planning a drawing by sketching it out in pencil first and finishing it in ink later is quite different than live sketching with a pen. Six topics for the price of one

Jay Cross

I’m spending the first quarter of the year learning experientially by walking around and trying new things. This blog is turning conversational. It’s me to you. Informal. Personal. I’m returning to the impromptu, stream-of-consciousness style I used when I began blogging a dozen years ago. I’ll be narrating my work, describing my discoveries before I mesh them into white papers and polished posts.
