A PowerPoint is not an effective means of e-learning, although one person told me what did a PPT have to do with any of this? Gardner in 2000, said there was little evidence for his theory to be true, and again in 2004. E-Learning has evolved more quickly than classroom training or even the early days of WBT. Two Data Points.

Clearly online learning in elementary and secondary schools were well on their way by the early 2000’s, which puts a big dent into the whole “new experience of learning online” argument. . Anyway, the typical mantra is to provide training on the system during a professional development day or multiple days.

Transitions, Animations, Views – I am fine using it once, but again, new product-new version, so why I am still seeing PowerPoint within this product to such a point, that TAV are exactly the same as in PPT? Even ID books or books teaching you how create WBT courses in 2000 (One of my favorite WBT books of all time, interested?

Even folks who are quite knowledgeable about the term, may be in for a shock – because that term you read about so often is referring to gamification on the workplace, F2F (face to face) training or in classroom – AND what the industry identifies as gamification: The Training and EDTech World. WBT - Web based training.

People who were running training/L&D always viewed blended to be paper and ILT (pre-WBT). When WBT appeared, there was an “AHA moment” The early adopters recognized that web-based training not only could work, but could do a better job at training and learning, that the current mode of ILT and paper.

With the exception of my first LMS, which I built in 2000; I have always used hosted LMS/LCMS without security/privacy incidents. Place the question in numerous training groups – say ASTD National, eCube (excellent source for e-learning folks), etc. Hosted Server Question to Ask. So what can do? How do you know who they are?
