Since it was launched in 2003, hundreds of educational institutions from around the world have used Second Life as a compelling and cost effective platform to augment an existing curriculum and explore new models of learning. While others are more prone to full platforms that deliver much of the functionality out of the box, like Jive Clearspace . This was echoed by Lee Bryant via Twitter [http://twitter.com/leebryant/status/1099413469]: “[…]problem is many IT depts just don’t care - it is a simple ‘solution’ for them, not their users” When removing SharePoint some organizations are going the piece by piece approach and stitching together best of breed or are going the route of full-service social platform, like Jive Clearspace. Jen O - A Room of My Own ...where where I can record my thoughts, ramble on whatever strikes my fancy, and discover what interests me during my journey through life.A significant portion of that journey includes my experiences working at IBM.
