Most of it came, via 3rd party providers, or what we referred to as “boutique shops” – think custom development (fee-based) that someone, company, government, institution, and so forth hired to create a course or courses. ISP (Internet Service Providers) fees were high. Oh, and access wasn’t free.

Don”t fall for the trap that someone has been doing e-learning since 93 or less, because what they are actually stipulating is that they provided CBT and whatever at that point. . The most well known vendor to use modules are Cornerstone OnDemand. It means online learning at least with the vast number of folks. Bottom Line.

A: Virtually every LMS vendor out there in the marketplace provides these features. Case in point: IMO one of the worst UI’s I have ever seen comes from Cornerstone OnDemand, which is quite popular. Those that don’t are due to: Your tool works only with SCORM 2004 3rd edition, and your LMS only accepts AICC.
