I received a great set of questions via email over the weekend roughly coming out of a two articles: Gartner: Blogging to peak in 2007 , By Some Measures, Blogging May Be Peaking. By end of 2007, will those educators who would ever dabble in blogging have dabbled? The form of it may or may not be a blog.

In December 2006, I posted my challenges and predictions for 2007. Biggest challenges for 2007? I could answer this as the biggest challenges for Learning Professionals generally, and maybe I'll come back and do that, but for now, let me just write what I see as some of my bigger challenges in 2007. We were very fortunate.

While I've not been active blogging (is this really my first post since 2015?), the community of bloggers continues to thrive and anything that highlights the amazing content produced by the diverse blogging community is great. Of course, neither was LCB's Big Question - Should All Learning Professionals be Blogging?

I've seen a couple of posts ( Matt Cutts , Dave Taylor ) talking about their relative web statistics for 2007. While my stats are very low in comparison to theirs, I was hoping that I could entice fellow bloggers to post some stats about their traffic in 2007. Referral traffic is generally from other blogs.

I wanted to go back and figure out what things really struck me during 2007. So I first went back to what I wrote about last year: Some of the more specific memories from 2006: I started my blog in February 2006. I had a real "aha experience" after using add-ins to provide features inside my blog. I started using del.icio.us

Over the past two years, my thoughts around blogging as a learning and networking tool have been slowly evolving. In Oct 2007, the LCB asked - Should All Learning Professionals Be Blogging? If they were starting on some new learning activity, I'd want them to blog. But, otherwise, I've not seen anyone making it mandatory.

Ingrid O'Sullivan has a new blog and is the first person to take me up on my post 100 Conversation Topics which asks people to start a conversation with me and get aggregated into 100 conversations. Ingrid's post tells a bit of a story that is likely familiar to other authors of a relatively new blog. I'm pretty new to blogging [.]

Back in 2005, 2006 and 2007, I would regularly show the following slides to help explain the heart of what Training Design is all about and how it has changed over the years. So, I'm doing it again this time based on the topics in Training 2007. One of the reasons I choose the Training conference is that it's not as leading edge as eLearningGuild events, but is a bit more mainstream, corporate than ASTD conferences. Although people may debate this.
