As you will know I finalised the 5th Annual survey of Top 100 Tools for Learning in the middle of November 2011, and at that time placed the presentation on Slideshare. I’ve just noticed that in the subsequent two months it has been viewed over 200,000 times!

This is the 5th year I have been building a Top 100 Tools for Learning list (based on the Top 10 Tools contributions of learning professionals worldwide), so I thought it would be interesting to compare my choices in the first year I ran the activity in 2007, with my choices today. In 2011 I now use WordPress to power my website.

I share the annual lists as slidesets on SlideShare and these have collectively now been viewed by millions of people worldwide. 280 has a less flashy tool set than SlideRocket but excels in exposing its capability to export presentations to PPT 2007, PPT 97-2004, Open Document or PDF. I also love the way that you can publish your slides to Slideshare from within 280, email it or get a link and/or embed code. I like 'em both.

Sometimes I get so worked up that I feel that I am channeling the material rather than presenting it. The supporting presentation slides are all available on SlideShare. Solo presentations are deadly dull, so I’ve taken to inviting friends to take a role in my unworkshops. Here’s an example from 2007.)
