Or Absorb who I first saw back in 2009. The budget angle for learning is nice, and I like how they did their social with clearly a UI/UX variance that you rarely see in any learning system. Growth Engineering who I saw as this unique Gamification system, that nobody seemed to notice. How about eLogic? Totally in the habitable zone.

Also contains some type of mobile, an assessment tool or survey tool and social (or at least it is on its roadmap). May or may not include social, gamification and on/off synch (although a couple have it on their roadmap). It should be noted that there are plenty of LMSs with strong social, who do not call themselves a social LMS.

Social learning? A significant number of vendors, reported higher revenue and sales numbers in 2010, then in 2009. In 2009, a well known and highly respected vendor was advertising on their site that their focus was their LMS, yet behind the scenes told me that they perceived their system as a performance management system. If their product line is 3/4 TM/HCM, than their focus is on the space.
