You want an image on your slide to move using a custom motion path. On the next slide you want the image to move from where it ended on the previous slide to a new location. The problem is PowerPoint only shows you where the image begins in the motion path. Note: Motion paths work from the center of images.

by AJ George  You may not realize it but PowerPoint is lowering the quality of the images in your presentations. By default, PowerPoint is set to compress the images in your files. In  In most cases compressing the images is a good idea because smaller images mean smaller overall presentations.

Over the last two weeks I've introduced PowerPoint 2010's Shape Union and Shape Subtract tools.   Insert an image onto your slide in which you'd like to illustrate a "missing piece." The correct missing piece will fit perfectly into the image. For my image I set the Top offset to -146%.).

On one slide you have an image fade in. Then when you click the image, it hyperlinks to another slide. But then the client contacts you and says they'd like to swap the image with another. You can replace an image but keep all of the actions and effects used on the previous image. There's good news.

From the Group graphic drop-down menu, choose how you would like the image to be grouped for the animation. Click the arrow next to the animation to display the drop-down menu and choose Effect Options. Select the SmartArt Animation tab. Notice that for all options except As One Object you are able to reverse the order of the animation.

Using the image above as an example, let's say you want the whole Venn diagram to appear. All you need to do is create a few circles and an oval. Overlap the shapes and then add some text boxes. But what if you wanted a more full-featured diagram? Animate a Venn diagram. Then you want to highlight eLearning, followed by mLearning.

Add the text ( Insert > Text Box ), shape ( Insert > Shape ), or image ( Insert > Pictur e) you would like to appear at this bookmarked spot of the video. A yellow dot will appear on the video control panel, signaling there is a bookmark. Add a Triggered Animation to a Bookmark. You can put it anywhere on the slide.

For this to look best, I wanted part of the front of the boat, but not other parts, to overlap the people so they appeared to actually be on the hull of the boat like the image below. You will now be able to layer in other images to the drawing, such as the little people.

Using the arrow keys on your keyboard will help this, but by default it will nudge the image 6 points. Move--But Just a Little Have you ever tried to move something (clip art perhaps) with your mouse and found that it wouldn't move to the exact spot you wanted it to? This will move the object just 1.25 points each time instead.
