Since my Top 10 list of LMS vendors has been posted online, I have received quite a bit of e-mail wondering why the biggest names: Cornerstone On Demand, Saba, SumTotal and SuccessFactors are not on the list. I have always seen then as talent/performance management platform which was becoming more of a HCM and this only re-confirmed it.

SumTotal Systems picked up Geolearning at the beginning of 2011. It’s also a great chance to catch up with friends outside the industry in the conference city.

As a former training director I had enough problems with users buzzing me about whatever, but having the name of the vendor too would not be good. Anyone who read my post on a previous conference show from 2011 will have noticed comments on Panopto. SumTotal: Expensive system and what you are buying is name IMO. Video editing.

Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Please remember for TM or as some vendors like to pitch as “performance management or knowledge management&# , the modules are extra and are not part of the system (at least for now). These standout to me. I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix.
