In 2011, I saw quite a few items that resonated. Thus, your competition expands: Large size vendors such as Saba, Cornerstone On Demand, SumTotal, Taleo, SuccessFactors – recently acquired by SAP. I will admit it is one of the most disappointing features that failed to deliver in 2011. Social Learning. Total stagnation.

Anyone who read my post on a previous conference show from 2011 will have noticed comments on Panopto. Why isn’t: SuccessFactors – I really liked this system in my previous rankings, but with a few new items I am hearing in relation to SAP, it drops it out of the top ten. Specifically: No SSO between SF and SAP.

35 tablets will hit the market starting in early Q4 to late Q1 2011. million tablets to be sold by the end of 2011 & over 208 million units in 2014. While I cannot say who they are, there are a couple LMS vendors that are ripe for acquisition, and it wouldn’t be a shock to see them in new hands by Q2 2011.

Docebo in or around 2011-2013, was the very first vendor where you could see – virtually the course/content marketplace and buy the content. SAP Litmos? If you said, “yes”, then they would sell it and immediately add it to your system. You did not see – i.e. the marketplace yourself.

For consumers in general, smartphones are number one in the market, then PGPs (Portable Game Players) and so on. near the bottom e-readers and tablets. Ahh, but wait.
