Articulate has told me that they have an issue with Windows 8 for both Storyline and Studio, but are working on fixing it. Desktop authoring tool vendors who realized this thing was fast approaching are: Articulate. Articulate Storyline, Articulate Studio 13 when launched will be able to do so too. 2013, 100,000 apps.

Articulate - I don’t know the guy’s name, but he does an awesome presentation every time. Articulate should be giving him a lot of raises. For me it makes sense, especially since it works with Office 2013 and 64 bit systems. Whether you are a newbie or strong in ID, a good product to check out. Bottom Line.

Sure there were exceptions on the desktop side – most notably Articulate Storyline, but overall until desktop vendors see the advantages of SaaS, especially with real time collaboration and peer review, tablets will be slow going. Image editing – several vendors are offering this – I expect more to follow suit – but not huge numbers by the end of 2013. Six of the top 10 are available including dominKnow, Articulate Storyline and ZebraZapps. Speech to text and vice versa – small growth.

Storyline2 by Articulate -The product has some pluses, but while it did a few nice things, I was wanting more. Feature wise it is top tier, but I see them in a confusion window – do we go for the beginners like Articulate or do we co intermediate/advanced or mix it all together? Still strong solution in the space.

I believe once Articulate and some of the other big names truly launch products (such as Storyline), the market will wait. This is going to be huge by 2013 in the consumer marketplace. Still in the infant stage. Vendor adoption is slow. Again, why? Slow growth here. Which is too bad. Gamification capabilities.
