Then, you can encourage them to talk about the content and use it as a guide for the group discussion to ensure that they are as productive as possible.”

Another innovative way to get employees working together is to create a “buddy system.” This entails two learners, or a small group of learners, virtually coming together to complete a project. In the article Strategies for Collaborative LearningSoren Kaplan says that the buddy system is basically “a support structure…that keeps people engaged,” where learners are responsible for “joint participation and contribution (co-development of a case study, alternating postings in the discussion area, etc.).”
