It’s being seen and analyzed as the trend of 2017 for education and all around learning and development. The ecosystem of learning for consumers is overwhelmed, impatient and distracted. In the early days of the internet a study earmarked that a person logged on 5 times a day, present day it could be as much as 27 times, content creators have between 7 and 10 seconds to grab an users attention before they click away.

in 2017 employees find themselves working from several locations and structuring their work in nontraditional ways to accommodate their lifestyles. Companies are finding it difficult to reach these people consistently and even harder to develop them efficiently. Close to 50% of the globes workforce will be mobile by 2020 and video traffic will constitute close to 60% of the Internet’s traffic.Employees are accessing information—and learning—differently than they did just a few years ago. Most are looking for answers outside of traditional training and development channels using online mediums and their mobile phones to justify the “Just in time learning” method.

Rapid change in business and organizations means everyone needs to be constantly learning. Learners are stepping into social ecosystem to understand more about their profession and upskill themselves.

What are the key ingredients you need to begin the ideation and eventually the creation process for Micro sized courses and content ?

secret-sauce-2

Typically employees have less then one percent of a work week for training and learning, the content and delivery method needs to be relevant, collaborative and on demand.

Training and learning and development are moving to more digital formats, it’s colliding with new realities in learners’ jobs, behaviors, habits, and preferences. Catering to the intersection in their learning personalities and great content will show more traction and a clear result oriented ROI.
