Introducing new functionality for your achievements, the direct result of your feedback!

A few months ago, we rolled out the new LearnDash achievements functionality for your online courses.

All of you have provided us with fantastic feedback on new features and improvements you wanted to see, so today we’re pleased to announce an updated which introduces exciting new functionality to power up your LMS website!

Using Points to pay for Courses

One of the standout new features of the new update is the ability to allow users to use their points to purchase a course.

How does it work?

  • Your students can use their accumulated points to purchase a course.
  • You can set the number of points that a course costs.
  • The points used are deducted from the student’s balance.

By utilizing points as a way to allow students to purchase courses it brings a real purpose for the student to want to collect points pushing them to achieve their learning goals to buy brand new courses at no cost to them apart from study time!

LearnDash Groups Integration

You asked and we listened. Now with the new LearnDash groups integration, group leaders can see achievements earned by their students, and you can also specify that an achievement belongs to a certain group.

What does this mean?

If you have a maths group, you might have specific achievements related to that group. With the new groups integration you can specify that a user has to be part of the maths group to be able to earn that specific achievement.

Other fun Stuff!

We didn’t just stop there though, other new features you can look forward to after installing Achievements 1.1 includes:

  • A new trigger to award an achievement if a student scored above a set percentage in a quiz.
  • Making the achievement image optional.
  • Allowing the badge icons to be set to a larger size without needing CSS

Whilst you’ll be busy playing around with the great new features, we’re working away on Course Grid 2.0 and other exciting new features for LearnDash. See you soon! 🙂
