Someone came up with the idea of an LCMS (RIP) Community of Practice (yuck, first it went the way of the dodo bird, then has made a comeback – just like the dodo bird – which is being re-created genetically). LTG, however, made a poor decision (although they disagree) in buying NetDimensions. It seems to make more sense.

History of the LMS

The LCMS Learning Content Management System. They started to drop off the map, due to the LMS adding more capabilities that an LCMS could do. I can’t recall the first Articulate product, but Adobe soon launched Presenter, then Articulate down the road, many years, sent us, Studio. Sure folks. There are a couple out there.

Top 50 LMS Mid Rankings Report – What you need to know

My personal directory contains 610 LMS/LCMS/Learning platform vendors. Volatile - in that people change systems more than say some other e-learning products (ex: authoring tools, web conferencing products). All it tells me is that you are masters of marketing, it does not necessarily mean you have an awesome product.
