Some trainers were still at zero, a few were halfway, being a member of a few Linkedin groups and maybe on Facebook.

I also signed up to a couple Ning communities where I'm lurking. I spent a good chunk of time my first month reaching out (mostly through LinkedIn) to make connections with people who had lots of related experience to get thoughts and ideas around particular issues that we might face - and found a lot more issues that I hadn't considered.

Option 3: Your own social network platform like Ning , group site , grou.ps , Socialgo , collectivex , MINDZ. Ning for instance doesnot have an easy file sharing possibility and groupsite does.
