Day 2 of the conference. Later on the ADL was formed and they wanted a more extended standard, based on the AICC specs. So the ADL developed Scorm in a different (technical) way and we ended up with two standards. Both the ADL and AICC where working on a new generation of standards.

Learning solutions conference day minus one #LSCON12

Tomorrow is the start of the Learning Solution conference, but for me it started today. The Ipad/Iphone app is now available and that is a great way to start the conference. Project TinCan was a research by Rustici software (sponsored by ADL) into the next generation Scorm. All in all a good pre-start of the conference.

Always keeping up with eLearning standards: My trip to I/ITSEC 2023

If you are not familiar, I/ITSEC stands for Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation, and Education Conference and caters largely to the US Department of Defense, federal contractors, and vendors offering solutions to the aforementioned. I/ITSEC is an important conference for us to attend for a few reasons.

I recently attended the MedBiquitous Conference at Johns Hopkins. This conference focuses on technology standards in health care education (conference hash tag - #Medbiq2013 ). I also learned Tin Can API is also being called ExperienceAPI, but it depends on who you talk to, ADL or Rustici. Hope to see you there next year!
