Later on the ADL was formed and they wanted a more extended standard, based on the AICC specs. So the ADL developed Scorm in a different (technical) way and we ended up with two standards. Both the ADL and AICC where working on a new generation of standards. Scorm and AICC support the current model with reporting through a LMS.
