Tony Karer and Joel Harband (from Tuval software) got together and wrote up three posts on embedding Text-To-Speech in your eLearning courses. If you have gone through these three posts, you really know how to embed TTS in your eLearning courses (e.g. integrate them into Articulate or Lectora, use them in Adobe Captivate.).

As the evolution of e-learning continues, the rapid content authoring tools (RCAT) market follows suit. The Best from the eLearning Learning Community

As I discussed in my post " Articulate, Captivate, Both, Or.? ", I have been using Adobe Captivate but would like something that integrates with Power Point and speeds up the development process. was expecting these tools to speed up development but I was not expecting the quality results.

I am working on developing eLearning technical training courses for an ERP software application being implemented within a division of the company I work for using Adobe Captivate 3. If you are familiar with Adobe Captivate then you are familiar with "Assesment Simulations."
was making a stupid mistake in Adobe Captivate 3 that was seriously affecting the performance of my eLearning tutorials. When I first started using Captivate I was under a tough deadline for my first project and did not have the time to take any classes or tutorials. I have a confession to make. Here's the story.
I didn’t get to attend the Adobe Summit or DevLearn 2008 this week in San Jose, CA, and I’m totally jealous of everyone who got a sneak peek of Adobe Captivate 4.  . Captivate 4 will be part of the new Adobe eLearning Suite.  Tagged: adobe, captivateThank you, Philip!
Adobe Captivate and Articulate Studio have different skill sets and sometimes you need the best of both worlds. While Captivate is great for software simulations, I think Articulate is better for soft skills projects and tying the whole thing together.

In this post I was going to focus on other types of content creation tools that can be used for building courseware, assessments, interactive content and games. However, there is no point in re-inventing the wheel, and recently some great blog posts have been written about content creation or eLearning authoring tools.
