I've got the new Adobe Presenter 7 on a month's trial and have spent the past hour giving it a thorough working over. I'm interested in this sort of PowerPoint-based tool both for myself, because I like to package up my presentations with audio for web delivery, but also because I meet so many trainers who want to produce some simple e-content for themselves and want the process to be as simple as possible. Presenter 7 installs as a PowerPoint add-on (including the 07 version if you have this). At its simplest you can just export your slides as a Flash movie, along with any existing animations and any slide notes you have.

Adobe released a new elearning development platform a short while back for instructional designers and developers aptly titled eLearning Suite . It allows you to quickly create complete software demos or PowerPoint presentations with quizzes and multi-branching paths with different input sources.
Importing The suite also contains Adobe Presenter for rapid development of PowerPoint to elearning conversions if needed; however, It is a complete and tightly integrated solution for authoring rich learning content. Its complete in that it contains just about all the applications

At ASK Learning we developed a process with Symantec for rapid development of modules using Adobe Presenter. After creating the storyboards in straight-ahead PowerPoint, we'd animate the graphics using Presenter and record and sync the audio. Articulate Presenter is the same concept as the Adobe product, except you also need QuizMaker and together they cost twice as much. We were using version 6.1 with Office 2007.

articulate engage , adobe captivate , migration , reuse elearning content , adobe elearning suite
In previous posts we have seen how we can reuse Articulate Presenter files by converting it to Adobe Presenter files. Adobe presenter is a part of Adobe eLearning suite . In this post we will see how you can use existing Articulate Engage or Quizmaker output files inside Adobe Captivate 4 project.
The rule is “Adobe Captivate movie plays the engage movie as long as engage movie can find the dependent files as it is expecting.

After all, Adobe Presenter and Articulate Presenter are both plugins to PowerPoint that convert presentations to SCORM-compliant SWF eLearning modules. Adobe Presenter (http://www.adobe.com/products/presenter/) includes a Quiz Manager, whereas Articulate Presenter does not include quizzes. However, you can buy Articulate Studio (http://www.articulate.com/products/studio.php), I've been seeing this a lot lately. Not that the confusion is surprising.

Many of you have approached me regarding Adobe eLearning Suite training. One is Element K (and we should have this available on the Adobe store at some point); the other is Lodestone. The course is designed for ‘beginning users of the Adobe eLearning Suite who have no previous multimedia content creation experience.’ The need for good training and possibly a certification that adequately covers the suite specific workflows and shared tools (like the SCORM packager, LMS adapter, Flash learning interactions, etc.) continues to be the single biggest request

I have been doing some research on making Adobe Flash SWfs 508 compliant and found some great resources I would like to share. FYI: Adobe has come quite a way in making Flash more accessible. Creating Accessible Sites in Flash - This Adobe presentation provides a great introduction on how to make Flash accessible to users with disabilities. Accessibility with Flash has been a challenge over the years and prevented many organizations, especially U.S. Government agencies, from using Flash.
