Currently there are courses for Captivate 4, Adobe Connect, Flash (many hours), Moodle, Camtasia, and PowerPoint. If your job or life demand that you learn software applications quickly, then you’ll probably be interested in lynda.com. I’ve been a subscriber to the lynda.com training library for years and found them to be a life saver when working under tight deadlines with little time to learn something new.

RJ Jacquez, Senior Product Evangelist at Adobe, posted a sneak peek of Captivate for Mac on his blog last week after demoing it at the Adobe Learning Summit / DevLearn 09 in San Jose (an event I was unable to attend).
When TechSmith created a Mac version of Camtasia, they scrapped the also-horrible UI of the Windows version of Camtasia and designed a beautiful Mac-like interface ( as covered in my review of the application ). The radio silence regarding Captivate for Mac has been deafening, so I was thrilled (yet not thrilled – see below) to see some updated information regarding this much-anticipated application.

To present a moving demo I need to integrate another product called Viewlet cam. Makes it a bit harder to pull everything together. Camtasia and Adobe Captivate : Pros: Heard lots of good thing about them. Cons: Worried about file size for both of them The more I am researching, the more I am getting confused. ---- There are quite a few Software Simulation Tools out there. Question from a reader, hoping you can provide your thoughts: I am in the process of selecting an elearning tool that is easy to use, quick to create the demos and does not bloat the file size much.

I recently heard from a Camtasia Studio user, Vivek Joshi who is a Product Specialist at IDV Solutions which happens to be right down the road from TechSmith in lovely Lansing, Michigan! :-)
Vivek In addition to his article, he also included a Camtasia Studio screencast with his submission. Kelly Rush, our Video Production Specialist, got a quick video with Vivek to hear Vivek has a hobby website he works on in his spare time called FindYourAuto.net . Vivek wrote an article about the site and entered it in a contest at Microsoft.
