Adobe recently posted a fix for Captivate 9 that, according to Adobe, addresses the following issues in Adobe Captivate 9. Conditional actions get converted to standard actions in upgraded project. Effects are not played fully in SWF, when the effect duration is less than the default effect duration.

I thought perhaps I could convert the videos to.wmv and re-embed them and see if that would work… nope. I tried publishing as HTML5 only and also as a HTML5/SWF hybrid… nope. However, when viewing the course on an iPAD the videos are static black rectangles and never progress.

I first thought this to be a limitation of HTML5 (first article was for SWF output) and tested it out. On the last slide of the file you will see a Shape (rounded rectangle) which I converted to a Shape button. It is important to know that I am using version 11.0.1.266 (CP2019), Windows version and tested in Chrome/Edge and Firefox.

Some other things to note: The course was originally built in Captivate 2017 (10.0.0), but I have edited, converted, and published to Captivate 2019 (11.0.0). It works fine though if I use regular Multiple Chose Question Slides that are not linked to a pool of questions. Is there anything I should be doing to avoid this?
