Captivate will prompt you to select: the application you wish to simulate, the area of the application to be included in the recording, whether you wish to include an audio voice over, and the level of interactivity that you want the learner to have. Once you have made your selections, you are instantly ready to begin your simulation! From this point onwards, all your actions within the application will be intelligently recorded and saved by Captivate.
As soon as you stop the recording, Captivate will automatically create a training simulation from your inputs. Select the preview option to view and test the simulation. As you begin, you will see that the simulation requires an initial input from you, the user. Remember, this simulation will allow users to perform only those functions that you have performed while recording. As soon as the user hovers the mouse over an actionable section, a pop-up text will prompt them to take an action.
