After years of BlackBerry dominance in the pockets and purses of enterprise personnel, iOS (Apple) and Android -based mobile phones and tablet devices will supplant RIM-supplied smartphones as the primary desired (and likely used) smart devices for mobile learning – at least in North America. Device Diversity is the “New Normal”.

2011 proved to be another year more focused on the pilot project rather than the production deployment for enterprise mobile learning solutions. Content shops are definitely getting into the game and offering expertise in the design and delivery of content and games for tablets like the Apple iPad. On the Target – But Barely.
