A Google search on ‘Apple iPad’ throws up an excess of 30 million results! Clearly the Apple iPad has drawn much applause and an equal amount of criticism in the last few weeks. At Upside Learning we’ve been thinking about ways the Apple iPad can be useful for eLearning – especially in the workplace.

To encode videos, one can use several encoding software available in market. Apart from these video encoders/ converters, other video editing software from Adobe and Apple also enable to export to FLV format of the video being edited. There are also many FLV playback components available in market – either freely or paid.

Since the start of the project virtually everyone has joined the project , except for Apple. Flash is already optimized for x86 which rules the desktop market. Now, they’ve gone ahead officially revealed the product and begun the marketing blitz. As a contrast to the Apple iPad, this browser supports Flash. With another one adding to a slew of tablets in the market, it’s a foregone conclusion that we’ll be seeing large-scale adoption of tablet computers in the next couple of years.

When Apple launched the iPhone 4S, one of the key differentiators to previous models was the inclusion of Siri. For those who haven’t been bombarded yet by the marketing campaigns, Siri is an intelligent software assistant and a knowledge navigator that essentially functions like a digital personal assistant.

The lovers are typically Apple fan-boys who are crazy about anything Apple, so their devotion to any bit of technology that Steve Jobs throws into the market is taken for granted. On the other hand, Apple’s business practices aren’t the ones I find inspiring.
