Even if Flash doesnt "go away", its pretty clear that Apple wont be supporting Flash on its mobile devices. | ECONTENT NOVEMBER 29, 2010 Google vs Apple Software Development I am not an object oriented programmer, but if I was I would take Stanford's free course on how to develop apps for the Apple iPad / iTouch / iPhone environment. Given the huge uptake on this technology, I did watch the 1st session of the Stanford course which gives a techie like me an understanding of the Apple iOS. Starting at 16:41 of the first lecture, the course gives a quick overview of how Apple's development system is constructed. The Workday team has already built this kind of software before (several times actually), so they know that the big problem companies face with their ERP software is not features, but making the system configurable and flexible to adapt as the company changes. Becoming the Apple of HR (or Enterprise) Software. Just like Apple has relentlessly moved from category to category, ignoring incumbent vendors, but creating a "more integrated" and "easier to use" system, so is Workday doing the same.
