The (Initial) iPad Experience

I looked at the specs, and I tracked the software app announcements. The iPad, however, was announced as coming with (or having available) software for word processing (Pages), diagramming (OmniGraffle), presentations (Keynote), and email (Mail). Then Apple did have the case when I called, so I swung by late in the day.

I struggled after losing Palm Desktop, but finally have settled on Reminders (Apple’s tool), as it synchs across devices seamlessly. Current mobile device. iPhone 4 & (original) iPad. Current computer. Definitely my iPad.

Augmented Reality Lives!

And Apple has released it’s Augmented Reality software toolkit, ARKit , with features to make AR easy. Incompatible platforms and standards impede progress, but with Google and Apple creating tools for each of their platforms, development can be accelerated.
