For the last year, I’d gotten into pouring stream-of-consciousness words into the 2012 Pages file. Feeling hip, I put the file in Apple’s cloud. Apple tells me if I don’t save a iCloud resident file on my iPad, when I try to open it on my Mac, it may give this error. I weed them out every five years.

Then the apple began to cave in. Time is but the stream I go a-fishing in. In 2002, I saw a large photograph by Sam Taylor-Woods of fruit on a woven plate at the Tate Modern in London. Still life , ha, ha, an oxymoron. We all know life is anything but still. I was looking at a time-lapse video, not a still picture. The end of life.

I’m returning to the impromptu, stream-of-consciousness style I used when I began blogging a dozen years ago. I store a file named 2013 Jay’s Stories in Apple’s iCloud so I can easily access it from any of my computers. (I I’ll talk with Apple about this but I am going back to Dropbox. I am hosed.

Activity streams, like Twitter, so I know what’s going on and what people are talking about. Choosing and subscribing to streams of information I’m interested in. Activity streams should be available for the company at large and for workspaces. Minimum feature set: shared screen, text chat, video conferencing streams.
