What happens though, when you think you are getting something for free – and by all appearances it is free, and then a few days later you start receiving this newsletter or an introduction to a webinar or eeek – a person contacting you either via email or phone about their product. Newsletter Horror. The same applies to newsletters.  Left comments for the vendor on whatever – HELLO newsletter. Yes I am interested in your product, but no, I do not want to be on your newsletter. Yeah that’s bothersome. Yeah, that’s bothersome.

Workplace Learning Today: A Daily (Mon-Fri) Newsletter

For those of you not familiar, OLDaily - short for Online Learning Daily - is a daily newsletter, with commentary, about significant news in the online learning field. Stephen Downes produces the newsletter as a part of his work at National Research Council Canada (read more about the newsletter here ). I won’t say much more about OLDaily other than it is a great service to the industry and you should consider subscribing (if you don’t already). My colleague, Gary Woodill , had the opportunity to write for Stephen Downes ‘ OLDaily in the month of July.
