20 years ago I was a struggling recent college graduate who had moved to Boston in the middle of a recession. 15 years ago I got a job as an instructional designer/multimedia producer at a company that created training programs delivered on CD ROMS. I had never heard of the term "instructional designer" before.

So that level of interactivity wasn’t even a consideration in course design. Does it mean that I am a better instructional designer? And that only creates more opportunity for my course design. I see the tools used in various industries for more than course design. It’s a great way to connect with other Articulate users.

Someone did the instructional design, someone else worked on graphics, and then we had a programmer who built the courses in Authorware or some other application. Instructional design. Visual design.
