I’ve been using Articulate Presenter 09 for a couple of months now and have come up with the five things I like best about the new version. Articulate has released two updates to Presenter 09 and most of the problems I had have been cleared up, or I’ve found workarounds. Thank you, Articulate.

Format Factory lets you convert media from one format to another. I don’t use it as much as I used to now that Articulate’s Studio ‘09 provides a video encoder. However for those who need to convert media from one format to another, it’s a handy tool. FLV Player. Format Factory.

Articulate released the Studio 09 update to all their tools a couple of weeks ago. Articulate Studio 09. Articulate Presenter is arguably the most popular PowerPoint to Flash conversion tool available. For Studio 09, Articualte added Articulate Video Encoder ‘09. It works fine, I just prefer Flash Video Encoder.

So, I took the presentation on The story of the 30-minute masters that I created last week in Articulate and decided to re-create it in a movie format that would work for both YouTube and the iPod (MP4). I couldn't do this with Articulate. I thought about Captivate, but that only exports Flash movies (SWFs). This worked fine too.

While you could quickly convert the SME’s ppt to the sample course, I think that the overall efficiency for the organization wouldn’t be as great, especially if the info is something people need to access more than once. e-learning and I got full Articulate software.
