Someone did the instructional design, someone else worked on graphics, and then we had a programmer who built the courses in Authorware or some other application. While today’s software has made the job easier, but it’s also made it more challenging for the person who has to develop and deliver elearning courses. Visual design.

I have never taken a course in adult learning theory. I learned Toolbook and Authorware on my own while in the program. Of course, I am expected to provide my ID perspective/expertise to the other team members but, I will never have to figure out how to create a graphic element or program an interaction. And yet here I am.
