If you do get a budget then you can stretch your money by purchasing the lower resolution images. You don’t need print-quality images for elearning courses. I usually get my images from Fotolio or iStockphoto but there are dozens of good stock image sites. I found a bunch of business card images online.

Just grab an image and save it in my ideas folder for later. Print Screen: captures your entire desktop and loads the image on the clipboard. Once you start using it, you’ll find that it saves a lot of time looking for the images in folders on your computer. Instead, you have to click on the Windows Start icon , go to All Programs , and then locate the Microsoft Office folder. Inside the folder, you’ll find and Microsoft Office Tools folder with the clip organizer inside.

I’m doing a session for the local ASTD. This is especially true when you have a bunch of large images on your PowerPoint slides. This happens to me when I’m working with high resolution stock images. Here’s a simple solution, you can compress your images in PowerPoint. Another option is to start with placeholder images.
