Last week at ASTD TechKnowledge , I did a keynote on Work Literacy and eLearning 2.0, an online Q&A Session for the Virtual Conference and a session on using Web 2.0 Tools for eLearning. They are creating a NING page for discussions and to post pre & post-conference materials. semi-aside) A few months ago Christine Martell , the president of the local chapter of ASTD , and I talked about doing a follow up to the one day conference we put on late last year on Social Learning. think there were more posts on Twitter from this conference in an hour than there were at ALL of ASTD. You can also check out the Ning community for the conference. The real time twitter feed has been invaluable during this conference. Innovations in eLearning only has a couple hundred people attending. Good stuff.

Ning really makes it easy to do one of these. If several people were interested in a topic, they can easily pull together a few speakers, create a ning group and set up a quick conference. have a bunch of random thoughts on this and I'm hoping that folks will chime in. believe Face to Face Still Matters. This will be a part time thing.
