This month's ASTD Big Question on the Learning Circuit's Blog is about Social Networking and finding help and expertise if you have a question or a concern for which you need input and/or advice. Last week at ASTD TechKnowledge , I did a keynote on Work Literacy and eLearning 2.0, an online Q&A Session for the Virtual Conference and a session on using Web 2.0 Tools for eLearning. As we are wrapping up the week for Learn Trends , one of the questions we faced was what to do with the Ning community that sprung up to support the conference. ASTD National - ASTD's LinkedIn group. Large, active Ning community hosted by Elliot Masie with monthly questions that spark discussions. Some discussion.

think there were more posts on Twitter from this conference in an hour than there were at ALL of ASTD. You can also check out the Ning community for the conference. The real time twitter feed has been invaluable during this conference. Innovations in eLearning only has a couple hundred people attending. Good stuff.
Ning really makes it easy to do one of these. If several people were interested in a topic, they can easily pull together a few speakers, create a ning group and set up a quick conference. have a bunch of random thoughts on this and I'm hoping that folks will chime in. believe Face to Face Still Matters. This will be a part time thing.
