Last week at ASTD TechKnowledge , I did a keynote on Work Literacy and eLearning 2.0, an online Q&A Session for the Virtual Conference and a session on using Web 2.0 Tools for eLearning. In the mean time I have added other social media like this blog (WordPress), Facebook and Twitter. I also take part in some special interest communities (e-Learning guild, ASTD, LinkedIn group about learning). At easygenerator we use a blog, twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook too, we even have our own youtube channel.

Twitter is Much Better than I Thought for Learning I used to say during presentations that I wasn’t quite sure about twitter as a learning tool. During 2010, I’ve been ramping up my use of twitter as a learning tool. It was definitely helpful to spend time going through Twitter for Learning – 55 Great Articles.

Social Learning Communities It was interesting that ASTD DC / Todd Slater has created a Ning community. I ran into a post about Using Twitter at Work. I expected it to be about how to use twitter as a knowledge worker. People end up staying home to be able to attend virtual events. That should be a bit of a “wow”.

A few weeks ago I did a very informal query on Twitter, asking people what were their favorite eLearning brands. If I just take content creation and social media perspective - then why only Ning and what Google is doing there. Just remember, my "survey" was highly unscientific and represented one afternoons chatter on Twitter.
