While I don’t like how they advertise that for asynchronous job interviewing (I think I’d find that a disconcerting process as a candidate), I can see uses for video and audio responses in learning. In addition to offering ways to branch and show different videos, this also gives you ways to collect video and audio responses.

Also sends emails for asynchronous communication. Can use kiosks with info for asynchronous communication too. Have to be flexible when working with technology (considering the problems with slides for this presentation, that is very true). Groups: Have students use groups so you can easily share messages and items.

Practice exercise–can be asynchronous. Don’t just do an intro followed by 60 minutes of demo (yeah, I did too much demo during my trainings in the last two weeks…but that’s why I’m attending this to get some more ideas). Helps extend the time of the training. open-ended questions.

They use it asynchronously too. Virtual Collaborative Environment–prebuilt auditorium, conference rooms. They are using this with a group that has been outsourced. Works for them to collectively get together across time zones. Virtual World: Teleplace. Integrates JIT learning from their Books 24X7 site.
