My favourite example of augmented reality is now a couple of years old: While it might not be as flash as the xkcd enthusiasts might demand from this emerging technology, it remains practical and – gasp! There is a lot of attention for video and use of multimedia online, after all youtube has almost 300 million view hours per day.Gemma Critchley talked about emoties while learning: "people will forget what you said but they will not forget how you made them feel". That partly explains the recent attention for video as a medium.

Augmented reality and smart glasses are the future, so it seems. It was a first attempt, a tentative stumble into a rich augmented world of information, entertainment and communication. Even today, wearing new versions of Glass with its obtrusive camera units still make you look like you just walked off a SciFi movie set.
