I would like information on how to create open ended questions in Captivate 2017.

Can these questions be scored along with the other questions in my quiz?

Also, is there a widget that can be used and that is scorable?

Hmm, Ashish: can you explain how to add a score to a Short Answer question if you don’t specify a correct answer? I find that default type not useful at all for scored answers, because the score can only be acquired when the given answer is totally the same as the ‘correct’ answer. That is not open-ended at all. Hence one of my blog posts that tried to use the Scrolling Text Interaction to create a more flexible alternative. Have a look at:http://blog.lilybiri.com/custom-short-answer-question
You will read that I created this use case as an answer to a forum question.

Hi Darron,

You may use “Short Answer” type quiz question for open-ended questions.

Can you please offer some details? What do you mean by ‘open-ended’ question: is that a question that has no real correct answer but will get a score when the learner has given an answer? I have several blog posts about creating custom questions, and how you can add a score to them but want first to have a confirmation.
As for widgets: don’t count on a HTML widget for that purpose. There used to be a few SWF widgets for questions, but even in that period they wer very rare.
