A mlearning course?

As I mentioned in my last post , yes, I’ll be running a course on mobile learning. So isn’t mobile learning already in place? However, I was recently asked to give a mobile talk by the local chapter. When I opined that mobile is old, the organizer let me know “it may be old for you, but not for everybody!”

These included three thing: heuristics, tools, and collaboration. Finally, I suggest the use of tools to support the gaps our brain architectures create. These included five basic principles: mlearning is not just mobile elearning; mlearning is a wide variety of things. The sessions were fun, and the feedback was valuable.

So the author clearly doesn’t understand good data. It’s certainly true for millennials as well, and seems to be true for everyone who’s gotten on to mobile devices. Provide social connection tools. You go to the elsewhere, and it’s preferences, and anecdotal. There are several cites in the list, as well.

Ruth Clark has been a co-author on a couple, eLearning and the Science of Instruction, and the subsequent Efficiency in Learning. I try as well, though often filtered through games, mobile, or elsewhere. We have the knowledge, and the tools aren’t the barrier. Of course, you could go do a Master’s or Ph.D.

We got a full fledged authoring suite and asked our trainers to develop courses. We used to have SMEs give workshops, and those were attended, so we’ve purchased virtual presentation software to allow our SMEs to present online. We’re also working on mobile deployment. Now we’re looking at PowerPoint plugins.
