December is the time to start work on my eBook and article on Trends for the upcoming year. This eBook, featuring eLearning Trends in 2020 is my 10th release on eLearning Trends along with related articles (Mobile Learning, Microlearning, and Gamification).

Every year, as I undertake this exercise, I try to use a distinctive thread to connect my list of eLearning Trends and predictions.

During the last year, we have seen a considerable shift in the way online training is being designed and delivered. It aligns better to what the learners want (short, focused, on the go, on-demand, available within their workflow, and so on).

It also marks a significant shift in the way L&D teams are looking at the training delivery to match what the learners want and the gain businesses want to see. There is a higher focus in looking at efficacy, impact, and ROI of the training. Several strategies show maturing, moving away from hype to showcasing real value.

This is the thread I have used to create my eBook, eLearning Trends in 2020 – Featuring Tips on How You Can Leverage Them for Learning, Performance Gain, and Behavioral Change.

  • It is designed as a guide to help you assess which trend would match your needs and what value it will offer.
