In a recent blog post, I gave seven reasons why teachers should blog. It was subsequently expanded to 10 good reasons by the contributions from readers - which is actually an eleventh reason why teachers should blog - you get back such great comments, suggestions, arguments and advice, it would be crazy not to share your content.

This week is about blogging. I just think its time to take a look at blogging again since I, and others from what I hear, seem to be neglecting blogs, feed readers, etc, in favor of microblogging. I'm actually writing this blog post from Amplify.com which is an interesting hybrid tool. But that's not blogging.

It is such a sophisticated tool, and it also now powers my Learning in the Social Workplace blog. 3 – I still use TypePad , which was my blogging tool of choice in 2007 – which I used for Jane’s E-Learning Pick of the Day blog, but it’s not on my 2011 list. Please do share them here.

WordPress: my blogging tool, that provides regular reflection opportunities for me in generating them, and from the feedback others provide via comments. I note, after the fact, that many are social media. Which isn’t a surprise, but reinforces just how social learning is!

WordPress is my blogging tool (where you’re at right now), and it’s a way I think ‘out loud’ and the feedback I get is a wonderful way to learn. So those are my ‘learning’ tools, for now. It helps me turn my ideas from diagrams and/or writing into a story to tell with visual support.

You can never keep up with it all, but access to many experts who are also finding and sharing the lastest tech tools make it much less daunting.
