I maintained that pretty well until Facebook emerged and became a much better tool for managing relationships and friends. The plan for this blog is to discuss issues that relate to my profession. My intended audience was family and friends. I like the concept of sharing thoughts and knowledge with others.

I don't see it being much different than the status updates that already exist in networks like Facebook and Linked In. I've found more value in the blogs I'm following. I do like the fact that Twitter seems to be a little more personal than social networking and blogging. Am I alone?
