It was interesting to read this because when I was writing about a PLE really also supporting my work - I didn't think of it in the context of ownership of the work product. Stephen's very much correct about a PLE being for the person. It is an interesting issue. Certainly, if it's in your brain, you leave with it.

I was only on the periphery of the Twitter vs blogging debate when I chaired a F-ALT (Fringe ALT-C) session late at night over at the Contact Theatre in Manchester last week. I believe that there is a synergy between blogging and Twitter.

The paper concludes that although some reflective content was created by students, blogs do not naturally promote deeper forms of reflection without some scaffolding through tutor intervention.
