CLARK QUINN JUNE 18, 2013 Christopher Pirie #mlearncon Keynote Mindmap 'Christopher Pirie opened the eLearning Guild’s mLearnCon mobile learning conference with a fair overview of technology for learning. E-LEARNING PROVOCATEUR | MONDAY, JUNE 17, 2013 Badges of honour '“Will I get a certificate for this?” ” No matter how much we try to cultivate an informal learning culture within our organisations, this question pops up time and again. It’s a symptom of the way workplace education (and education more generally) has been administered over the years, and while I don’t blame people for thinking this way, I confess to being frustrated by the redundancy of it all. E-LEARNING UNCOVERED | FRIDAY, JUNE 14, 2013 Estimating E-Learning Course Length 'Knowing how long a course is going to be is important for many reasons. In an ideal world, a course should be exactly as long as it needs to be to meet its goals—not a minute less, not a minute more. But there are some real-world reasons why you might need to contain the length. You need to put together a cost estimate and schedule, and course length will drive that. Conversely, you may have budget, resource, or schedule constraints, and you need to keep the course length within the limit of what you need to accomplish. You may have external requirements on the course length. 53 screens. MORE >> -
