The Best from the eLearning Learning Community

I do a lot of presentations where one of the topics is how to use LinkedIn more effectively as part of your knowledge work. In most cases, I will ask for a show of hands: How many of you have a LinkedIn Account? How many of you actively use LinkedIn? How many of you get really high value from LinkedIn? Generally 50-70%.

Yesterday I created a screen cast on LinkedIn for Finding Expertise. posted a query about this to several of the groups that I've joined on LinkedIn and have received about a dozen responses so far. Today, I saw a post on our Free - Web 2.0 This is definitely a knowledge work task where talking to someone will help.
have to make sure that I get at least as much value from that 3-4 hours as I would from spending the same time using LinkedIn for Networking – and that's tough competition. choose people with names that are a bit more unique so that it will be more likely to find them on LinkedIn. Right now, I'm in a fairly selective mode.
Week 5: Facebook/LinkedIn: Day 1. This week we will only talk about Facebook and LinkedIn.  TO DO – Sign up for Facebook & LinkedIn (Difficulty Level: EASY – Time: 15- minutes total). There is enough written about using LinkedIn. However I recently discovered an interesting feature on LinkedIn from a company’s point of view. Since the official LinkedIn blog introduces this feature on Aug 18, I am guessing it is a new addition to LinkedIn. LinkedIn now has hundreds of Company Profiles.
