I keep seeing lots of "tips for using social media tools in training" but not many concrete examples. Certainly the bigger goal is to help training become less an event and more a process, and to support ways for workers to form communities and interact with one another -- not just with the trainer. Ideas for other activities?

Some stray thoughts, in no particular order, gathered over time, on the differences between education and training, from the lens of custom content creation for diverse companies across the world. Education (even vocational education) is far transfer; training is near transfer. Most training is communication; hence the pizzazz.

We had a full house tonight at Training 2010. Tags: Uncategorized Keynote Learning in 3D Training 2010 The audience was very engaged in the content. The conversation continued at a wonderful reception at the San Diego Convention Center with live music overlooking the bay where I also did a book signing.
