I have a real issue with vendors who charge extra – via a license with their “partner&# or otherwise for a web conferencing – and thus ability to offer webinars, in their solution.  Mikogo - online meetings, web conferencing,  webinars, etc. NCH ScreenStream - broadcast for presentations and webinars. event.

Training: up to five, 2 hour webinars and access to online courses via their customer community. I’m on my way to get a car that enables me to launch a robust social learning system.  Of course, my biggest challenge is to find something that can really meet my needs now and then in the years to come, especially in today’s economy.

If you wanted to have a video conference with multiple people or a webinar with high quality video or full video streaming on your smart phone, you are out of luck. The Revolution. Battlefield. Not exactly, interactive. Battle Plans. Consumer slate tablets will change that, excuse me, all of that. And more or on the way. Armies. Weapons.

Here is how it often works (again, not with all vendors): Some will train one person (you pick) for free – via a webinar or a series of them and you will get training materials (in the form of a pdf or if you really want it as a hard copy). so its the webinar, sans the web conferencing angle.  You Want everything itemized. Right.
Toss in scheduled webinars, real time livecasting, real time video streaming, avatars that have the face image of your end user and not Sigmund the Sea Monster,  communicate in real time – with mini video screens between learners – beyond just texting, and while you are at it… track it.everything, full analytical data.

These are my live blogged notes from the webinar How to Create No Lecture Webinars by Ray Jimenez , presented through Training Magazine Network. 350 participants right now–a big group for an interactive webinar. Sent a survey in advance, including a question asking for ideas on how to stop lecturing in webinars.
At ThirdForce as part of the launch of the new Syllabus 5 for the ECDL we are running a series of short webinars alongside our information days for new and existing customers. Along comes webinar technology and suddenly this problem is all but solved. The ease at which participation is enabled means webinars are a growing business.
This evening I attended a TrainingMag Network webinar by Ray Jiminez - Chief Architect at Vignettes Learning. Ray was addressing the topic of creating 'Lecture free Webinars'. Webinars are great. However, boring lectures kill webinars. Most webinars are extensions of talking heads clicking their PowerPoints to death.
